Veggie List – March 6 & 7


Veggie list in a just a moment. Today is a milestone on my blog as you can see that just above is the first video ever posted on my site. John Wise, my photographer friend and all around blog guy was out at the farm yesterday, March 3rd, and spent nearly three hours video taping bugs, chickens, flowers, veggies, and a bunch of other stuff. He was testing out his new camera, a Canon T2i that records 1080p high definition video (he’s the technical guy who told me all this). After recording about 17GB of short clips, he rushed home, uploaded them to his computer and spent the better part of the night and most of the first half of today assembling the finished six and a half minute long video. The music was composed by Joe Hisaishi for the movie Kikujiro and is titled “Summer”.

I hope you enjoy taking a peek at my farm from a perspective I have been able to enjoy over the years but that the casual visitor on a farm tour typically does not have the time to investigate in the detail that John has been able to capture. I would love to hear from visitors what they think about video on my site. John and I have discussed adding more video if there is an interest, so let me know – feedback is greatly welcomed.

On the tables this Saturday and Sunday are the following:

Wow! Thanks for the video, sure brought back lots of memories of our back yard garden while growing up in Montana. Loved especially, the closeups of the bees doing their jobs.

It is beautiful! The photography, music, all together; touching.

So soothing. Fabulous camera work. Can’t wait to taste those strawberries, but I’m not an early riser. Oh well, early birds get the berry.

Oh My……….. Thank you both so much for your hard work. I had my 4 and 2 yr olds watch and we talked about how everything has a job, bees chicks, flowers….AND FARMERS. thank you so much and would love to see MORE!

Beautiful video and music. The kids and I loved visiting the farm for the first time last week. Who says kids don’t like veggies? Guess what, if they pick them out from your stand, they eat them all week long! (And they are excited to return to the farm to select some more.)

Loved the video. Definitely continue the project as it was a delight to watch. With our busy schedules we don’t always find the time to enjoy those kind of moments. How special. Loved the music.

The video was great! Beautiful camera work and so nice to see the serenity that comes from working with the earth. Coming out to the stand is one of my favorite weekend activities. Thank you for sharing and would love to see more……
