Closed for Christmas and New Years
Look into my eyes (think voice of Bela Lugosi in Dracula), look deep into my eyes, you will hear my command and obey. Do not come to the Farm Stand this Saturday, do not go to the ACE Hardware parking lot hoping to find fresh all-natural veggies from Tonopah Rob this Sunday. I am going to Transylvania for some rest and relaxation after laying all those eggs and won’t return until January 9th, 2010.
Excuse me, chicken, put down the cape and take those silly fake fangs out of your beak. Tonopah Rob here: my farm and I are taking a holiday break – just as I do every year. The Farm Stand will indeed be closed this coming Saturday, December 26th ,and the following Saturday, January 2nd, 2010. You will not find me selling veggies at the Ace Hardware parking lot on Sunday December 27th or January 3rd either. No CSA shares will be available during this time, heck I may not answer my phone for the five minutes on Christmas day I pretend I’m not a farmer and imagine having time to be a normal person. I have even contemplated going to the movies! The strawberries are planted, new onions are going into the ground, I already picked up my new roto-tiller and I can’t think of a thing standing in my way of having a good time goofing off. Right….like that’s going to happen. I have so much to do it isn’t even funny. Oh my gosh, you whacky chicken, get off my shoulder, you are not about to “suck my blood”. What I have to put up with here.
