February 2nd – The Farm Stand

Looks like the really cold weather is giving way to not-so-cold-but-not-warm-yet weather and the root crops are responding by springing back with beautiful new green tops. The golden beet greens look like they have been meticulously hand polished by invisible garden elves, (note from the editor; the elves are not invisible, they work while Rob sleeps). The peach, nectarine, and apricot trees are getting closer to blossoming with their perfect shades of pink flowers. Strawberry plants in the hoop house are going gang-busters, chomping at the leaf to let their pretty little white flowers embrace the sun but spring is still a few weeks away.
Soon all this and more will be available at the Farm Stand and through the CSA (read below) right out here in sunny Tonopah, Arizona. Without further ado, coming from the dirt and going straight to your table, here is the list of fresh all-natural veggies that will be available this weekend.
