It’s the beginning of tomato season. Come and get’em.

A new location is in the works and a trial run begins May 22, 2016.  The location is 12400 West Desert Cove Road, El Mirage, AZ 85335. Desert Cove Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This is not a CSA location.  All CSA members whom plan to use their membership must come to the farm to get veggie with it. Beginning in June 2016, if this location becomes more than a trial location, all Super Duper CSA memberships will be honored.

The end of the season is quickly approaching.  All Community Supported Agriculture share members are gently encouraged to come to the farm and get veggie with it.  The season ends June 18, 2016.  Make sure to exhaust your account by that date.  There will be no roll over balances to the following season so gobble up!

Upon farm inspections, it looks like it’s the beginning of tomato season and other summer crops are beginning to ripen. Check out the new varieties posted this week to the veggie list. As the week continue larger quantities will be available in bulk.

Here’s a recipe to try.  In a large skillet, add olive oil, a pat of butter, mince three or four cloves of garlic and dice and chop one large onion and about quarter teaspoon of salt and a dash of pepper.  Saute’e  all ingredients until soften.  Thinly slice about two baby green zucchini and two baby yellow crookneck squash, add more salt and pepper, then soften along with the onion and garlic.  Scramble three to five eggs into the skillet and cook until done. Add grated cheese if desired.  It is a great Sunday brunch of a breakfast.
