May 7, 2016 Veggie List ~ Market Locations ~ Mother’s Day

Pictured here are baby red onions…they are so sweet.

Can you believe it?  It’s the first week of May! It’s Mother’s Day weekend.  To all the moms out there know you are loved and thought of every day. From some of us whom are far away, we hope you can feel our love and hugs. You are always in all our thoughts each and every day…and to my mom, you know I love you and wish you a speedy recovery.

This weekend there are two market locations where you can go and get veggie with it.  First up is the farm stand in Tonopah, AZ. Every Saturday the farm is open to the public from 8 a.m. to noon.

Also, this weekend the Penlina Farmers Market will be open. Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  All locations, times and driving directions are posted under the above tab “Directions to the Markets.”

If you want the best selection of produce, come to the farm stand, some times there are items at the farm that are not listed on the veggie list due to the smaller quantity and sometimes these items are not a CSA item.

Here’s the veggie list:

  • Peaches (both locations)
  • Blackberries (farm stand only, non CSA item)
  • Strawberries (farm stand only)
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage
  • Potatoes
  • Squash
  • Eggs
  • Carrots
  • Beets
  • Kale
  • Chard
  • Turnips
  • Green Onions
  • maybe a surprise or two
  • one bent out of shape fence post

A side note: beginning next weekend Tonopah Rob will no longer be selling at the Penlina farmers market.
