Christmas CSA Quarter Share/Opening Day Weekend/Veggie List 12/1,2/2012

If you look really close you can see a watermelon radish growing half way out of the ground.  These will be ready for this weekend’s harvest.  They are so good!

Wow!  It was a great opening season.  There were hundreds and hundreds of people at the farm all here to get veggie with it!………and the veggies and fruit looked fantastic, the flavors were fit for a king.  It was really amazing to see all the people. The overwhelming support everyone showed was incredible, thank you!  Thank you to all of the CSA members and wonderful customers who made the trek to the farm, it was great fun!

The above picture shows a perfect example of how Tonopah Rob uses flowers and plants to create bug confusion and bug warfare.  Red Zinnias border the okra plot and pollination is nearly 100%.  Isn’t this cool?

And now that the feast is over, it’s back to normal for a few weeks.  While shopping for the holidays, keep in mind the veggie lover of your life. Christmas CSA Quarter Shares are available for 150.00 dollars. Send in your check to Tonopah Rob along with the address of the gift recipient, TR will do the rest.  What a great way to introduce someone to the farm, giving the young future culinary wizard a festive way to shop for veggies or the cooking dad, the boyfriend or anyone you think would like to taste the flavors of the farm.   The deadline for purchasing a share is December 20th, 2012.  Call or email me for details.

The quarter share is just like any other farm share.  The share can be used at any location Tonopah Rob sells produce.  Check out the list of markets by clicking onto directions to the market tab and find a location nearest you.
