Farm Stand and Market Update

Today is October 26th, 2011.  I thought I would update y’all about the new fall season that will begin in 11 days.  OMG!  Eleven days!!!

The Farm Stand in Tonopah, AZ  will be ready for all to enjoy. Saturday November 5th, 2011  8 to noon.   That’s right!  It’s time to get your tires out of the rut.  Also, If you have a group of 10 or more that would like a farm tour please call in advance and schedule a time with Tonopah Rob. Mind you, depending on how busy we are there could be a short delay in a tour time, so please hang in there.

Arizona Traditions (Traditions Farmers’ Market) in Surprise, AZ will be open for business November 5th, 2011 from 8 to noon. Traditions Farmers’ Market will have several vendors ready to sell.  Tonopah Rob’s Vegetable Farm, Our Little Farm, Capistrano Bread Co., Arizona Buffalo Co., Sassy Salsa and Don’s Cutting Edge Knife Sharpening and hopefully are just a few of the vendors participating in the line up and maybe Joe the Fish Man…..best salmon in Arizona.  Everyone is welcome whether you live in Traditions or not, come support your local favorite farmer.

On Sunday, November 6th, 2011, the Stock Shop Farmers’ Market in Glendale, AZ will be ready for business and boy howdy do we have a lot going on there.  The Stock Shop will be hosting their big fall festival.  Lots of things for kids to do.  Bring your pets and treat them to a little something too.  The Stock Shop has food for nearly every kind of animal.  What would be really cool is if you had a llama or a camel and rode llama-back or camel-back to the festivities……piggyback your pot bellied pig!  Now, that would really be something to see, a saddle on a pig, who knew?

The farmers market will begin at 9 a.m. to 1:30ish, maybe longer.  The Stock Shop will open at 10 a.m.  Bring your coolers, empty egg cartons, cloth shopping bags and of course your greenbacks, credit or debit cards and dig in.  There will be quite a few vendors attending this market.  Arizona Buffalo Co., Salsa Ildi, Tonopah Rob’s Vegetable Farm, Dust Specialty Dry Meat Rubs, Cupcake Cafe, Capistrano Bread Co., Don’s Cutting Edge and more…..whew!

Then, Sunday November 13th, 2011 8 to 1 p.m. the Petz Place Farmers’ Market will debut in Goodyear, AZ.  This is a new market location for Tonopah Rob’s Vegetable Farm.  Petz Place is a new and very cool pet shop.  Bring Fido or Fluffy over to the shop and treat them to a yummy snack.  Bring your Guinea Pig or pet lizard on a leash of course, and show everyone your amazing pet tricks.  There will be several vendors on hand ready to sell you bread, veggies, knife sharpening and more!

When I get closer to market day I will post the veggie list so stay tuned in to my web site.
